Not everyone in our group wants to make a Skrimsli. Can they still come along?
Yes, absolutely! Non-participating guests are welcome to join you in the workshop.
They can watch the creative process, take photos, enjoy a coffee, admire the beautiful ocean view, or take a stroll along the nearby beach while the rest of the group creates their Skrimslis.
I'm not creative and I don't know how to sew. Can I still join?
Absolutely! Our workshop is designed for everyone, regardless of age, creativity, or crafting experience. No sewing skills are required. You simply choose the body, eyes, mouth, and other features for your Skrimsli, and our staff will do all of the sewing for you.
Many of our guests tell us they are "not creative" when they arrive, but they always leave with a unique monster they are proud of!
Is the workshop private?
Yes! Our workshop experiences are private, meaning the session is reserved exclusively for your group.
Whether you're visiting with family, friends, colleagues, or as a couple, you'll enjoy a relaxed and personal experience in our cozy seaside workshop without other guests joining your session.
Can I make more than one Skrímsli?
Absolutely! You can make as many Skrimslis as you like.
Our prices are based on the number of Skrimslis made, not the number of people attending. Simply select the quantity of Skrimslis your group would like to create when booking.
If you decide to make additional Skrimslis during the workshop, this can usually be arranged if time allows.
How long does the Workshop take?
The duration depends on the size of your group and how long it takes everyone to choose the perfect features for their monster.
As a general guide:

1–2 Skrimslis: approximately 30–60 minutes

3–6 Skrimslis: approximately 1 hour

Larger groups: approximately 1–2 hours
Most guests spend around one hour in the workshop.
Can I reach the workshop by public transport or taxi?
Yes! The workshop is easy to reach by both taxi and public transport.
By taxi, the journey takes approximately 20 minutes from Reykjavík city center. Public transport takes around 50 minutes and offers a scenic ride away from the busy tourist areas and into a quieter part of the capital region.

What is included in the price?
The price includes all materials needed to create your Skrimsli, guidance from our staff throughout the workshop, and your finished wool monster to take home.
You'll have access to our wide selection of colors, eyes, mouths, hair, horns, tails, hands, and feet to create a truly unique Skrimsli. We also offer complimentary coffee, tea, water, and juice during your visit.
There are no hidden fees or extra charges for materials or features.
