Frequently asked questions
Not everyone in our group wants to participate. Can they tag along?
Yes, of course, they are welcome to join you in the workshop! They can observe, take pictures, have a coffee and enjoy our beautiful view or even take a little walk on our amazing beach!
I am not creative at all and have no skills in sewing. Can I join?
Yes of course! Our workshop is for everyone. Our staff does all of the sewing, so there are no skills required. You will basically be designing your monster and we will do all of the hard work :)
Can I make more than one Skrímsli?
You can make as many as you want. Our prices are based on the quantity of Skrimslis made, not the persons. You simply choose the amount of Skrimslis your group wants to make. If you want to add more when you are already in the workshop it can be done if there is time.
How long does it take?
That depends on the group size and how long it takes you to choose what you want on your monster! Usually when there is only one or two Skrimslis made in the workshop it will take about 30-60 minutes. 3-6 Srimslis usually fill an hour and larger groups or more quantity of Skrimslis will take 1-2 hours.
Public transport or Taxi to the workshop?
We are often asked whether it’s easy to reach the workshop by public transport or taxi. Yes - it’s very easy. We’re only about 15 minutes from the city center, so a taxi is quick (though it can be expensive for one or two people). Public transport takes about 50 minutes; it’s a pleasant, scenic ride away from the tourist buzz into the suburbs where many capital-area residents live.
